Quality and Management
Our teachers lead on the achievement and ongoing implementation of quality assurance schemes, and regularly monitor, review and improve the quality of our provision.
We are registered and inspected by the Care and Social Services Inspectorate Wales (CSSIW) and have achieved:
- Wales Pre-School Providers Association Quality Assured Award
- Steiner Waldorf School Fellowship Accreditation
Cardiff Steiner Early Years Centre is a Registered Charity No 1067026 established since November 1997.
How is the Centre managed?
At the Cardiff Steiner Early Years Centre (as in most Steiner settings) we do not have a hierarchical management, but instead are guided by a group of dedicated trustees and teachers.
Teachers share responsibilities and work together in a non-hierarchical ‘collegiate’. There is no Head Teacher. Our teachers meet weekly to discuss teaching issues, child issues and day to day management and policy.
The Centre’s Trustees are made up of elected parents, friends and supporters who manage the Centre’s resources and set priorities in the best interests of the children. This includes regulatory issues, staffing and employment issues, financial planning and management, marketing and recruitment.
Our Administrator supports the teachers and the Trustees.
