Kindergarten Application Process

Visit & Taster Sessions | Parent Interview | Settling In Process

The best way to find out what makes our Kindergarten so special is to come and visit us, or come along to one of our regular Open Days.

Please contact us for a prospectus and Application Pack. Kindergarten children need to be 3 years old when they start. You can visit before your child reaches 3 years old and join a waiting list for future admissions The application process is as follows:

If your child is younger than 2 ¾

  1. Contact us to arrange a Visit Morning where you can and find out more about us and Steiner Education, and get a chance to observe a Kindergarten session.

  2. Complete and return the Application Form (see box top right).

  3. We will put you on our waiting list and contact you in the term before your preferred start date to arrange a Taster Session and Parent Interview (see 3 below).

If you child is 2 ¾ or older

  1. Contact us to arrange a Taster Session where you and your child can join in and experience a full Kindergarten morning, and find out more about us and Steiner Education

  2. Complete and return the Application Form (see box top right).

  3. Once your Application Form has been received we send you an offer of days and invite you to a Parent Interview where you have the opportunity to discuss the admission of your child with the teacher, and agree a start date and individual Settling In Process. It also helps us build a comprehensive picture of your child and their development.

You will also have a Financial Interview where we go through a breakdown of your fees and payment and fill in the Registration Contract. A one off Registration Fee of £60 is required at this stage, along with a deposit of £250 to secure your place. The deposit is returnable when the child leaves Kindergarten as long as a terms notice has been given in writing

(If we have no places available at this point we will put you on our waiting list, as unanticipated openings do occur during the year.)

  4. Your child starts Kindergarten using the individual Settling In Process agreed with the teacher.
