Erika Taylor – Eurythmy

Erika joined us in June 2025 and teaches Eurythmy to our Lower School and Kindergarten pupils. Erika has over 20 years of experience teaching in Steiner schools, both in Bristol and Germany, and has a deep understanding of the Steiner curriculum. She has worked with pupils from kindergarten through Class 10 and has held wide-ranging responsibilities including safeguarding, staff mentoring, curriculum development and anthroposophical study groups.

Eurythmy, a core element of Steiner Education, is a unique form of expressive movement developed by Rudolf Steiner. It brings language, music, and rhythm to life through movement, helping children to deepen their connection to the spoken word and musical tone in a physical and engaging way. Erika’s teaching emphasises purposeful, creative, and structured learning, supporting children to grow in confidence, coordination, and expressive ability.

Erika has an extensive range of qualifications in eurythmy and education: she is currently completing a Master’s in Eurythmy Education at Alanus University, Germany, and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Eurythmy from the same institution. She also holds a Teacher Training Diploma in Eurythmy Pedagogy from Freie Hochschule für Waldorfpädagogik Stuttgart, Germany.

Erika’s warmth, experience, and deep understanding of the Steiner curriculum make her a wonderful addition to our faculty. We look forward to the richness Erika’s teaching will bring to our school and to the growing confidence and expressive abilities of the children under her guidance.
