Miranda Knight – Bothmer Teacher

Miranda teachers Bothmer to our students from Class 5/6 to Upper School. Bothmer is a movement approach specific to Waldorf schools. It aims to foster the healthy and holistic development of the growing child and includes a body of exercises, games and spacially oriented movement activities that correspond to different periods of a child’s development.

Miranda has a BA (Hons) in Contemporary Dance from the prestigious London Contemporary Dance School where she studied under renowned choreographers and dancers, Jane Dudley and Nina Fonaroff. She is currently completing the Bothmer Movement International course – a four year, intensive training course for movement teachers at Forest Row in Sussex.

Miranda has over 30 years’ experience as a performer, teacher, choreographer and creative artist with companies including Moving Being, Paradox Shuffle, Brith Gof and Music Theatre Wales.

Miranda says that ‘movement lives in her bones’ and is passionate about Bothmer, combining, as it does, her love of movement and Steiner Waldorf education.
