About
Cardiff Steiner Early Years Centre is are a thriving city Kindergarten with two mixed age classes for 3 to 7 year olds (nursery and infant age). We are co-educational, fully comprehensive and welcome children of all abilities, faiths and backgrounds.
Established in 1997, we opened our first kindergarten in St Catherine's Church Hall, Canton in 1998 and moved to dedicated premises in Iron St, Adamsdown in 2002. We moved to our new home, the lovely St Anne's School in Roath, in September 2011. The Centre has grown steadily, and now has a team of 15 teaching staff providing Steiner Waldorf Early Years Education five days a week at the Centre. We also run 8 Parent and Toddler groups both at the Centre and Pontcanna, Penarth and Cowbridge.
Our holistic and organic approach promotes a healthy, ethical childhood – these are all ideas that remain with the children through to adult life. We try to be ethical in everything that we do from homemade organic snacks and recycling to ethical banking with the Co-op.
