Our home, at St Anne’s School in Crofts St, Roath, is a lovely former infants school. It is a beautiful light and spacious victorian building with a special atmosphere, and - as a purpose built school- is ideally equipped, housing our two kindergartens (Sun Garden and Rose Garden), a dedicated Parent and Toddler room, a hall for eurhythmy, festivals and community events, a kitchen to prepare our children's homemade organic meals, toilets, cloakrooms, offices, and lovely outdoor space.

The building opened as Crofts Street National School in April 1879. It became St Anne's Church in Wales Primary School in 1949, and an infant school in 1954. Centre staff, families, friends and supporters were all part of its transformation into the Cardiff Steiner Early Years Centre. St Anne's is located in a strong local community with a longstanding sense of responsibility and love for the school.

We are currently in the process of purchasing the former Hawthorn Junior School in Llandaff North from Cardiff Council. The former junior school closed in 2009 as part of Cardiff's schools reorganisation. It is a beautiful Victorian building, ideally equipped to house our School, with easy access to neighbouring Hailey Park, the Taff Trail and Forest Farm Nature Reserve.

The area is well served by public transport with excellent bus links within Cardiff, and Llandaff train station just two streets away. Llandaff North is located close to the A48, A470 and M4 providing good road access in all directions, and the Taff Trail cycle route runs through Hailey Park next to the school. We expect to complete the purchase by May/June.
