Our buildings are closed …our learning continues. We are open and operating through our online learning programme ‘Beyond the Classroom‘ – an effective learning programme that honours our curriculum; ensures all pupils are able to engage and progress in skills and interest with individual needs supported; and keeps the indispensable human connections alive between us. As the whole world has adjusted and changed we are looking on this as an opportunity to apply creative solutions and keep alive a tangible sense of the School to which we all belong, and look forward to returning to as we stand in each-others’ company again.
ACESSING LEARNING CONTENT
Older students (Class 6/7 up) can use their G Suite accounts to access learning content, complete assignments, communicate with their teachers, and learn digital citizenship skills. Parents of our younger pupils (below Class 6/7) are required to access and manage pupils’ accounts and learning for them using their child’s log in.
Learning content is approached differently in each Class as appropriate to the age of your child/ren. For example, Kindergarten recognise that the most profound influence on young children comes through the attitudes of the adults around them, and therefore their main focus is to support parents. Rather than ask parents to replicate the Steiner early childhood program at home, this focuses on activities that can be integrated into family life. Kindergarten offer families learning resources and support for keeping things simple and rhythmical at home, with activities and experiences that support young children’s development.
Please contact your child/ren’s Kindergarten/Class Teacher/Guardian for guidance on accessing your children’s learning content who will support each child’s learning process.
